Prototyping at Circuitrocks — Breadboards, PCBs & Jumpers for Fast Builds

Move from idea to working circuit with our curated prototyping parts—from solderless breadboards and jumper wires to perfboards, prototype PCBs, headers, and terminal blocks. Perfect for Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, robotics, and classroom labs.

Breadboards • Jumpers • Perfboard • Prototype PCBs • Headers • Terminals

Why shop prototyping here

  • Complete ecosystem: Everything from first breadboard to final screw-terminal PCB.
  • Maker-tested: Boards and jumpers that actually grip, not flimsy clones that fall out.
  • PH support: Local help from Circuitrocks when layouts, traces, or connections get confusing.

Popular builds

  • Breadboard Arduino/ESP32 sensor demos and lab exercises
  • Robot control boards using perfboard or stripboard
  • Power distribution boards with screw terminals and fuses
  • Neat LED matrices, button pads, and breakout “shields”

Recommended add-ons

Featured prototyping categories

Solderless Breadboards & Jumpers

Perfboards & Prototype PCBs

Headers, Sockets & Terminals

Tip: Start on a breadboard to prove your idea, then move successful circuits onto perfboard or prototype PCBs for a stronger, cleaner build—especially for student projects and robots that will get bumped around.

Prototyping chooser (quick guide)

Need Good first choice Notes
Fast experiment / classroom demo Full-size breadboard + jumper kit Perfect for temporary circuits with Arduino or ESP32. Easy to rewire and teach with.
More permanent but still DIY Perfboard / stripboard Soldered connections survive transport and vibration better than breadboards.
Custom shield or controller board Prototype PCB with grid matching your dev board Lets you build “shields” for Uno, Nano, or ESP modules with headers lined up.
Neat power & signal wiring Screw terminal blocks + bus bars Great for motor power, external sensors, and removable field wiring.
Plug-and-play modules Male/female headers + Dupont jumpers Use headers on PCBs so modules and wires can be swapped without resoldering.
Capstone / thesis prototype Perfboard or small custom-style PCB Cleaner wiring for panel defenses and competitions; easier to troubleshoot than loose breadboards.

Use these as starting points—always consider current, voltage, and how often the project will be moved or reconfigured.

Starter bundles

  • Intro Lab Pack: Breadboard + jumper set + Arduino/ESP32 + LEDs & resistors
  • Robot Control Board: Perfboard + headers + motor driver + screw terminals
  • Sensor Breakout Kit: Small perfboards + pin headers + assorted sensors from Sensors
  • Capstone Wiring Kit: Prototype PCB + terminals + hook-up wire + heat shrink

FAQ

Should I start on a breadboard or perfboard?

If you’re still experimenting, use a solderless breadboard. Once the circuit is stable and final, move it to perfboard or a prototype PCB for durability.

Why are my breadboard connections unreliable?

Cheap boards and very thin or bent jumper wires can cause intermittent contact. Use good-quality breadboards and jumper kits, and avoid yanking wires by the insulation.

Can I mount these boards in an enclosure?

Yes—many perfboards and proto PCBs have mounting holes. You can also use standoffs and 3D-printed brackets from your own designs.

What wire should I use for perfboard?

Use solid-core wire for short jumpers on the board itself, and stranded wire for connections that will flex, like power inputs and external sensors.

Do you ship prototyping parts nationwide?

Yes—Circuitrocks ships prototyping supplies anywhere in the Philippines, so you can stock your lab, classroom, or makerspace easily.
