Should I start on a breadboard or perfboard?
If you’re still experimenting, use a solderless breadboard. Once the circuit is stable and final, move it to perfboard or a prototype PCB for durability.
Why are my breadboard connections unreliable?
Cheap boards and very thin or bent jumper wires can cause intermittent contact. Use good-quality breadboards and jumper kits, and avoid yanking wires by the insulation.
Can I mount these boards in an enclosure?
