Based on eBytes E22 module this LongRange Low Power module is using the latest Semtech LoRa®transceivers, the SX1262. This new generation of chips out-performs the existing radio chips like SX1272 or the RFM95/96 modules.

The Alora RFM1262 sub-GHz radio transceivers are ideal for long range wireless applications. The devices is designed for long battery life with just 4.2 mA of active receive current consumption. The Alora RFM1262can transmit up to +22dBm with highly efficient integrated power amplifiers.
