Due R3 ARM Board Arduino Compatible
The Arduino Due uses the SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 CPU. This board is the first to be based on a 32-bit ARM core microcontroller.
It includes 54 digital I/O pins, with 12 of it having PWM controls, 12 analog I/O pins, 4 UART(RX/TX) compatible pins. It also has an 84 MHz clock, USB OTG compatible connection, 2 DAC(digital to analog), 2 TWI/I2C(SDA/SCL) compatible pins, a JTAG compatible header, a reset and an erase button.
This board has an operating voltage of 3.3V but can have input voltages from 6V to 16V.
It is an alternative for larger projects that an Arduino Mega can't handle. Compared to Arduino Mega, this board has the edge when it comes to the processing speed as well as the memory space. Though Due has that edge, most of the shields and sensors are compatible with 5V
therefore having to use an Arduino Mega is better. Most libraries available are compatible with Arduino Mega than with Due.
