Efficient 12V from 24V, 36V, or 48V systems. The Pololu D36V50F12 is a step-down (buck) regulator rated up to 4.5A continuous, with far less heat than a linear regulator doing the same drop.
The EN pin gives remote shutoff and the PG output reports power-good status - handy for standby modes and reset logic.

Step-down only: input has to stay above the output plus dropout, so a 12V battery won't hold a 12V rail.
