Joystick Dual Axis XY PS2 Module for Arduino

You could make your controller using tactile buttons in addition to this component. This component produces directional controls as well as a select button. You may also use this in making your drone, or any moving project controller. This joystick is composed of two potentiometers for the axis reading and 1 tactile that acts as a select button. It uses potentiometers and produces a reading of 0 to 1023, depending on the orientation of the joystick. In the resting position, the reading for both axes should be at 512. This module operates with a 5V power supply. It has a dimension of 40mm x 26mm x 32mm, a rather small form factor for many controls.

It could be connected to your MCU using 3 analog pins or a combination of 2 analog and a digital pin and the power supply (VCC/GND).

You could use this module in projects with movement control like a Bluetooth control 4WD mobile platform, or even your

DIY gamepad controller.
