Possible one of the smallest range finding sensor out there for the DIY world. This little beast can measure a range of up to 1 meter and has no nearby distance limitation. We recommend using this sensor for ranges less than 1 meters as any further and you could be susceptible to noise from reflect objects. This range finder uses infrared light to send a pulse, the receiver will wait for the wave to reflect on the object and return to the receiver to calculate the time for the return signal to estimate a distance. This process can be done as fast as 30ms, offering a compact, accurate and super quick range finder. You can receive distance readings using 3.3v digital I²C interface.
