Piezo Buzzer 3 to 24V HP2312XW
Having an alarm in your automated systems gives added security to it.
Compared to your typical magnetic buzzers, piezo buzzers uses voltage rather than a current. A piezo buzzer is similar to a capacitor. While a magnetic buzzer is the same as a coil in series with a resistor, both buzzer types have a controllable frequency of sound by the frequency of the signal that drives the buzzer. Piezo buzzers often have a higher sound pressure level (SPL) than magnetic buzzers but also need a more significant footprint.
Piezo buzzers are built by putting electrical contacts on the two faces of the piezo transducer disk and supporting the disk at the edges in an enclosure. When voltage touches the electrodes, the piezo disk mechanically deforms due to the applied voltage. The movement of the piezo disk inside the buzzer enclosure then creates a sound.
This piezo buzzer module has piezoelectric transducers that respond to the wavelength produced by a built-in an oscillator that drives it. It operates at 12V maximum, with a current of less than 20mA. It can output a buzzing sound with 3.5KHz to 4.5KHz frequency and intensity of 85dB at a distance of 10cm.
