OLEDs are great because they can display more characters in a smaller space and consumes way less power than traditional I2C 16x2 LCDs. This OLED LCD I2C 0-69-Blue Module has 96x16 individual blue OLED pixels and a diagonal of 0.91 inches. It is based on an SSD1306 chip that communicates via the I2C serial interface. This means you can control the display with only two wires. Moreover, since the LED creates its own light, you don't need any backlight. This significantly reduces the power consumption while retaining a high contrast and an extensive viewing angle and operating temperature. You can control this easily with an Arduino, but you can use other MCUs as well, such as 8051s, PICs, AVRs, etc.
