A 30g roll of 60/40 tin-lead solder with a rosin flux core, drawn to 0.8mm. Good all-around size for headers, wire joints, and through-hole pads.
The rosin core handles the flux job on clean boards, so most joints wet without extra paste. Small spool, easy to keep in a project kit.
