Electret Microphone Amplifier - MAX9814 with Auto Gain Control

The Electret Microphone Amplifier - MAX9814 with Automatic Gain Control is a superb amplifier module for uncontrolled environments. This board features Automatic Gain Control (AGC).  AGC means that it amplifies far-away faint sounds and at the same time, mutes nearby loud sounds so that the signal won't clip. With this, sounds are wonderfully optimized for further experimentation. 

Moreover, this module supports manual gain and attack/release ratio control. The default gain is 60dB. Connect the gain pin to VCC or GND and you'll get 40dB or 50dB respectively. Same with attack/release ratio. The default is 1:4000. Connect it to VCC or GND and you'll get 1:2000 or 1:500 respectively.
