A 150mm digital caliper with an LCD readout and IP54 dust-and-splash protection. Measures outside, inside, and depth, and flips between mm and inches with one button.
Reads to 0.01mm, which is the difference between a shaft that press-fits and one that rattles. Once you own one, the ruler mostly stays in the drawer.
