If you're having problems interfacing 5V microcontrollers with 3.3V sensors, then this item is perfect for you. The Bi-Directional Level Shifter TXB0104 converts standard logic levels to any other standard level, plus it also automatically detects the direction. Furthermore, it doesn't introduce slew compared to traditional voltage dividers. This item is perfect for special bi-directional interfaces that talk to the microcontrollers in both ways. Note that since the item is bi-directional, it does not have a strong output that can drive LEDs or long cables. If you don't need the bi-direction feature, we suggest using the 74LVX245 instead.
