Reed Switch 2 x 14 mm Normally Open 10PCS
Do you need non-contact switching within your project? Then you may consider this sensor.
A reed switch is an electromagnetic switch that controls the flow of electricity in a circuit. They are made from 2 ferrous reeds, positioned so that they are not touching. It is in a tube-like enclosure made of glass. When near a magnetic field, it pulls one of the reeds towards the other. That they are touching, so the signal on the other end flows.
This switch can hold up to 300V switching voltage and has a minimum breakdown voltage of 150V.
The contact rating is limited to 10W, with the max switching current of 0.55A. It also has a fast bounce time of 0.25ms with a release time of 0.35ms max.
You could use this in projects with magnetic field detecting.
