shop/ discrete devices/ tip120 power darlington transistors 3-pack

Why waste space for two transistors when you can have the same amount of switching/amplification with a single IC package? The TIP120 Darlington transistor is actually a dual-transistor configuration made by two bipolar transistors connected in such a way that the current amplified by the first transistor is amplified further by the second one. This creates a significantly higher gain, perfect for high-power electronics such as motors, solenoids, and floodlights.
