Temperature & Humidity Capacitive Digital AM2301 DHT21 Sensor
Temperature & Humidity Capacitive Digital AM2301 DHT21 Sensor - This temperature & Humidity sensor is a wired version of the DHT21, in a large plastic body. It is a basic, low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air, and spits out a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed). Its fairly simple to use, but requires careful timing to grab data. The only real downside of this sensor is you can only get new data from it once every 2 seconds, so when using our library, sensor readings can be up to 2 seconds old.
Simply connect the red 3-5V power, the yellow wire to your data input pin and the black wire to ground. Although it uses a single-wire to send data it is not Dallas One Wire compatible! If you want multiple sensors, each one must have its own data pin!
Compared to the DHT11 , this sensor is more precise, more accurate and works in a bigger range of temperature/humidity, but its larger and more expensive.
Temperature & Humidity Capacitive Digital AM2301 DHT21 Sensor
A temperature and humidity composite sensor with calibrated digital signal output is the AM2301/DHT21. To ensure high dependability and long-term stability, it makes use of temperature and humidity sensor technologies.
What are DHT 21 temperature and humidity sensor?
A simple, extremely affordable digital temperature and humidity sensor is the DHT-11. It measures the humidity in the air using a thermistor and a capacitive humidity sensor, and it outputs a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed).
What is a temperature and humidity sensor module?
Devices that can convert temperature and humidity into electrical impulses so that temperature and humidity may be easily measured are known as temperature and humidity sensors (or RH temp sensors).
How does a capacitive humidity sensor work?
A thin strip of metal oxide is placed between two electrodes in a capacitive humidity sensor to measure relative humidity. The relative humidity of the environment affects the electrical conductivity of the metal oxide. The main application areas include weather, business, and industry.
temperature and humidity sensor used for?
Among the most often used environmental sensors are those that measure temperature and humidity. Hygrometers are yet another name for humidity sensors. These tools are used to provide the actual air humidity situation at any specific point or location.
What is the working principle of a temperature sensor?
The voltage between the diode terminals is what temperature sensors use to operate. There is a voltage loss between the transistor terminals and the emitter as a result of the temperature rising along with the voltage (in a diode).
Where is the temperature sensor used?
Temperature sensors are used in a variety of electrical equipment in our homes, including air conditioners, heaters, stoves, and freezers. They also enable control and maintain low temperatures in our refrigerators and freezers.
