This item here is the easiest way to incorporate it into whatever project. DC barrel jacks allow PCBs to connect to an external DC power supply. This particular DC jack has a long body for thicker enclosures such as wood. It also has a convenient PCB spacer and a plastic lip to fill the drill hole.
