The Electrolytic Capacitor 100V 10µF (Pack of 10) is a polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor rated for 100V maximum and 10µF capacitance. High-voltage capacitors like this are used in power supply circuits, amplifiers, and motor drivers where voltage rails exceed typical logic levels.
Voltage rule: Always use a capacitor rated for at least 1.5× to 2× your actual circuit voltage.
This 100V cap is safe for circuits up to ~65V for reliable, long-term operation.
Common uses for 10µF capacitors
- Power supply filtering: Smooth rectified DC and reduce ripple
- Decoupling: Provide local energy reserves near ICs and voltage regulators
