The Electrolytic Capacitor 400V 100µF (Pack of 10) is a polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor rated for 400V maximum and 100µF capacitance. High-voltage capacitors like this are used in power supply circuits, amplifiers, and motor drivers where voltage rails exceed typical logic levels.
Voltage rule: Always use a capacitor rated for at least 1.5× to 2× your actual circuit voltage.
This 400V cap is safe for circuits up to ~260V for reliable, long-term operation.
Common uses for 100µF capacitors
- Power supply filtering: Smooth rectified DC and reduce ripple
