Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to worry about polarity? Yes. Electrolytic capacitors are polarized — the longer lead is positive. Reversing polarity can damage the capacitor or cause it to fail.
What voltage rating are these? Voltage ratings vary by value. Always check the markings on each capacitor and ensure the rated voltage exceeds your circuit voltage.
