read tutorial →Battery 2S 5A Charger 18650 Li-ion BMS HX-2S-A2 - Would you be needing a BMS that is small but is capable of handling 2S 18650 battery series, then this module fits your requirements.
It is a small battery management system (BMS) module that can discharge at a limit of 2.5V to 3V with a discharge current of 5A, and 7A as its instantaneous current limit. It has a charging voltage of 8.4V to 9V. It has an output voltage of 7.4V.
There are 5 solder pads that you need to use. Two of which are for charging/discharging (+/-). Three are for the battery (BM, B+, B-). BM connects to the middle part of the series, in between the connected positive pole and negative pole of the battery. B+ connects to the positive pole ending of the battery series, and B- is connected to the available negative pole ending of the battery series.
Uses for 18650 batteries include electric vehicles, laptops, vaporizers, electronics, and flashlights. 7180 of these batteries are used by the Tesla. The 18650 or the even bigger 21700 is a common battery type for high-lumen spotlights like the Thrunite TN14 or Fenix PD35.
The electronics for charging 18650 batteries are incorporated into laptops and other electrical gadgets. Vaping (smoking) gadgets also use 18650 batteries.
Lithium Ion batteries, in general, are 18650s. If you are experienced with electronics, you can replace some battery packs yourself. However, you should exercise caution because using the wrong type of 18650 or utilising it improperly can result in a fire.
An electronic circuit is present in 18650 protected batteries. The circuit that safeguards the cell from "over charge," heat or "over discharge," excess current, and short circuit is built into the battery shell that houses the cell. It is safer to use an 18650 protected battery than an unprotected 18650 battery (less likely to overheat, burst or start on fire).
Although cheaper, we do not advise using unprotected 18650 batteries. Only in situations where load/draw and charging are monitored and regulated externally may unprotected batteries be utilised. Check the specifications to make sure, although shielded batteries typically feature a "button top." The protective circuit is typically absent from 18650 flat top batteries.
A battery should be disposed of at a battery recycling facility if it is broken, appears corroded, or seems to be leaking.
About 2 aH to 3.5 aH can be stored on a 3.7v, 3400mAh 18650 battery. It has a storage capacity of 10–13 watt hours. With a cooling capacity of about 9000 BTU, a compact air conditioner requires roughly 1100 watts per hour. Therefore, more than 110 18650 batteries would be required to run the air conditioner for one hour. In contrast, three 12v 40 amp automobile batteries would be required. However, three automobile batteries are smaller than 110 18650s.
The number of recharge cycles varies. Consider it like a container. The trick is that as time passes, the bucket also gradually fills with additional trash, leaving less space. Battery degradation through oxidation and electro-chemical breakdown occurs as a result of repeated use (recharging).
This can happen to any rechargeable battery, including 18650, 21700, 26650, 14500, AA, AAA, and even automobile batteries. There is a limit to how many times they can be refilled. Choose rechargeable batteries that can be recharged repeatedly. Because 18650 batteries may be recharged 300 to 2000 times, we specifically advise using these.
