Force Sensitive Resistor 0.5"
This sensor could detect if pressure is applied, or if an object in on top of it. It may be used as a presence detector but could not be used as a weighing scale as this could not give an accurate weight reading.
This sensor is a force sensitive resistor with a 0.5" round sensing area. The name itself can sense force or pressure applied to it, and vary from the applied pressure to the sensing area.
The resistance reading gets lower when a higher amount of force is applied, and higher resistance with lower force. This sensor could output a resistance larger than 1MΩ when no force is applied. This sensor could detect forces between 100g to 10kg.
It has 2 pins extending from the sensing area with 0.1" pitch that makes it more breadboard-friendly. It can also be connected using jumper wires.
