The GY-68 BMP180 Digital Barometric Pressure Sensor Module is a compact, accurate, and low-power solution for measuring atmospheric pressure and temperature. Based on the Bosch BMP180 sensor, it is the improved successor to the popular BMP085 and communicates with microcontrollers through the I²C interface.
By measuring atmospheric pressure, the BMP180 can also be used to estimate altitude and changes in elevation, making it useful for weather stations, robotics, drones, model aircraft, GPS-related projects, and other embedded applications.
The module is easy to integrate with popular development platforms such as Arduino and other I²C-compatible microcontrollers. Its low power consumption makes it particularly suitable for battery-powered projects.
