This USB to TTL converter is based on an FTDI chip. It provides a serial connection between a host computer and a microcontroller development board. This product is very useful for cross-platform development with an Arduino board or for general serial applications. Moreover, the board offers a 3.3V to 5V power and logic jumper. When in the default position (the jumper is on), the board operates at 5V. And when the jumper is removed, the board operates at 3.3V power and logic level.
Specifications:
- Auto-reset using the DTR pin.
- TX and RX LED indicators.
- The board has a default 5V power and logic level but can be changed to 3.3V using a jumper.
- This is a basic breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to serial IC.
- The pinout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with official Arduino and cloned 5V Arduino boards. It can also be used for general serial applications.
