The CCTREE ABS 3D Printing Filament 1.75mm – Violet is a high-quality ABS spool designed for FDM 3D printers. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a popular thermoplastic known for its impact resistance, heat tolerance, and durability, making it a go-to choice for functional prototypes, mechanical parts, enclosures, and items that need to withstand moderate stress or higher temperatures.
This spool comes in a vivid Violet color with consistent diameter for smooth, jam-free feeding. CCTREE filaments are manufactured with tight tolerances and vacuum-sealed packaging to minimize moisture absorption.
Tip: ABS requires a heated bed (ideally 90–110 °C) and an enclosed printer to reduce warping and layer splitting.
Good ventilation is also recommended, as ABS can produce mild fumes during printing.

Do I need a heated bed for ABS?
Yes. A heated bed at 90–110 °C is essential to prevent warping and improve first-layer adhesion.
Can I print ABS without an enclosure?
It's possible for small prints, but an enclosure greatly reduces warping, cracking, and layer splitting — especially on taller models.
Is ABS food safe?
Generally no. ABS is not food-safe and can absorb bacteria in its layer lines. Use PLA or food-grade PETG for food-contact items.
How do I store ABS filament?
Keep it sealed with desiccant in a dry box or vacuum bag. ABS absorbs moisture, which causes bubbling and poor print quality.
